Yes, of course.
We suggest that if you have a book with a strict publication date, you upload it at least two weeks in advance.
Just set the publication date at the book upload page. If you give a future date, your book will be automatically set for pre-sale in the stores where this function is available. Your readers can already pre-order your book, but they can download it and read it only after the official publication date set by you.
Pre-orders work seamlessly in the following stores:
- Apple Books
- Google Play
- Barnes & Noble
The maximum length of preorder is 366 days in the Apple Books (iBooks) store and 12 months in Barnes & Noble.
You can see live sales statistics on your pre-orders in iTunes and Google Play stores.
We can't display sales statistics on pre-orders in the other stores that have their data displayed on the Sales tab, like for example, Amazon.
We recommend that you upload an epub file that is as close to your final version as possible: roughly edited, and the number of pages is close to the final. You can easily change the actual epub close to the release date without the need of withdrawing the book (we recommend 1-2 weeks in advance to make sure that the updates get processed everywhere).
If you're uploading a "dummy" ebook for pre-order, we can disable preview on Google Play and Apple Books.
