We welcome publishers, self-employed authors and individuals to PublishDrive. You can read more on the three types of accounts here.
For sales made after March 1, 2018 (to be paid out in and starting from May 2018)
We'll be able to pay non tax-registered individuals from all over the world. Everyone will be asked to fill in a W9 or W8 form: this will decide the rate of tax withholding, if any. All of our publishers, including publishers we are currently working with, will be asked to submit a W8 or W9 form.
Read about the rates of tax withholding here.
For sales made until February 28, 2018 (to be paid out until end of April 2018)
Unfortunately we have to comply with local and international regulations when it comes to paying individuals (who are not self-employed or part of a company).
This is the list of countries where we can legally paid individuals who are not self-employed or in any way tax-registered. We do not withhold any tax, but in order to be able to do so, we have to ensure that our users are taking care of their own taxes based on their local laws. If you are self-employed, there is no country restriction, we can pay you anywhere the world.
If you are not self-employed, but a not tax-registered individual, we can still pay you if Hungary and your country has an agreement of some sort. If your country is on this list, we can pay you as an individual.
United Arab Emirates
If your country is not on this list, you have to set up self-employment. Self-employment is usually easy to set up. You are welcome to set up your account and start distributing your books. We recommend people to set up their self-employment as soon as they start selling books, so everything is in order by the time you would receive your royalties.
