Yes! It is possible to distribute magazines, journals or periodicals if the content file is formatted correctly. However, we only support ISBNs at the moment, so you will not be able to add an ISSN.
For ebooks, the EPUB file should be formatted to pass the industry-standard EPUB validation test. The layout of the magazine might make it necessary to create a fixed layout EPUB, but please note that not all of our store partners accept this format (under the Stores page, in your imprint settings, you can find more information about which stores accept it).
Also keep in mind that even if you submit a fixed layout EPUB, the pages cannot be scanned and the text cannot be embedded in image files, it has to be searchable.
If the layout makes it possible, try to create a reflowable EPUB, there are typically much less complications with these types of files.
For print-on-demand, you can publish a magazine if the perfect-bound binding type is acceptable for your publication. The minimum page number is 24 pages.
For both formats, you will have to add the issue number to the Series information section in the metadata.
